About This Lesson

The River is the “Current Way” to work both joint and heart while adding just the right amount of challenge to improve strength and balance. Varied workouts utilize flotation equipment assistance and resistance. Patterns of walking against and with the current allow the right balance of work and recovery. This class is ideal for those with arthritis, while allowing each student to choose intensity for strength and cardiovascular work according to individual ability.
