Discover how you can still enjoy some of your favorite foods through a simple meal planning process. Developed by nutrition specialists at New Mexico State University, this tool helps keep blood sugar levels more constant. This is by no means a license to stop taking your diabetes medication, but a way to help you enjoy eating again. Eliminate the stress of tracking numbers and understand how foods themselves can cause a spike or drop in blood sugar.

#2: DEVELOPING A STRONGER PELVIC FLOOR

Group Exercise Room #2

What causes pelvic floor weakness? How can you strengthen your pelvic floor? Class participation is encouraged so wear comfortable, stretchy clothes. Floor mats and chairs provided.

#3: INTRO TO GENTLE DANCE CLASS

11:15 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Group Exercise Room #2

This introductory dance class is low impact, easy steps but still heart pumping. Latin music is paired with rhythmic yoga and some Mediterranean belly dance components to promote flexibility, strengthening and fun. Wear comfortable clothes and soft sole shoes and bring water.

#4: BUILDING A STRONGER IMMUNE SYSTEM

Friday, November 3

11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Group Exercise Room #2

Gain a better understanding of the immune system and how its workings intertwine with the lymph system. Learn various exercises and stretches to strengthen both systems while reducing stress, healing vital organs and improving overall mind and body health. Class participation is encouraged so wear comfortable, stretchy clothes.
